Have fun! Keep the Faith!
This place is sort-of run like a theatre. There are producers, art directors, tech directors and crew, a director and stage mangers, costumers, make-up artists, and actors.
The director has a show idea and encourages the actors to “follow a script” of the room.
There are 2 stage managers, one per house. (seems lacking) Each room has a room leader.
This past weekend was interesting… I got to fly! Yup along a track speaking in tongue that fit the Pagan room, it was awesome!! No real acting per say involved but it was fun none the less! This was a great thing to learn! I am so happy to be able to add it to my resume of haunting skills!
I have not written in a long while. 2 weeks ago I got to work at Bloodview and it was a great learning experience.
I was in slaughter, turned off the strobes and went to town. I discovered that Murmur likes to climb and crawl. I was standing on the “slab” and I could make a banging noise. I kept discovering how to move. leading with my head to get to the audience member. Leading with my chest to intimidate. I liked the feeling of standing above the audience I felt more powerful.
((a question to ask jeff walker: does height play a factor in what you do, in how you carry your self?))
My mask had caused me problems which I didn’t foresee happening. It felt like the bridge of my nose was being crushed.
I was moved,to help fill some space, to cellar and it was fun. I was worried about feeling short. I went from slithering and climbing to flat footed and I was almost uncomfortable. How can I transfer that feeling of being tall and aggressive to being on my feet? Yes I thought about short stilts, which could be fun! But that is not the natural feel I am going for. I’m 5’2″ and that can be creepy enough so can I use that to my advantage?
